Gary L. Siegel, M.D.

Dr. Siegel grew up in Brooklyn, New York.  He received his B.A. degree with Distinction as an English major at Lafayette College, and then received his M.D. degree from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center.  His internship and residency in Pediatrics at Kings County Hospital in New York was followed by a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Hospital in Denver.  He served in the Army as Assistant Chief of the Allergy Department at Fitzsimons Hospital in Denver.  Dr. Siegel is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he has a teaching position at the Allergy Clinic.  He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and was President of the Colorado Allergy Society for its 1984-1986 term.  He speaks to physician groups on behalf of various pharmaceutical companies concerning asthma, allergic and chronic sinusitis, and new medications and guidelines in the field of allergic disorders, and particularly enjoys caring for asthmatic patients from newly diagnosed to long-term chronic patients.  His interests include biking, cross-country skiing, music and theatre and he is a past President of the Denver Civic Ballet.  Most of his extra time is spent raising his sons with his wife, but time is always found for his main hobby, cooking.
